Erkan Afacan

Erkan Afacan is a professor and department head specializing in electrical and electronics engineering.

Erkan Afacan (1966—); Prof. Dr. He completed his bachelor's, master's, and PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Hacettepe University.

Since 1997, he has been a faculty member at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Gazi University, and has served as the department head since 2020. He has published more than ten articles in the field and presented numerous papers at national and international conferences.

He co-translated the Schaum series books “Electromagnetics” and “Signals and Systems” and translated the book “Analog and Digital Communication.” His special interests include antenna theory, Galois theory, philosophy of science, and quantum theory.
